About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Bilingual (English/French) MSP Service Administrator to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of IT services for their valued customers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. You will be a key player in their service delivery team, leveraging your technical expertise and communication skills to provide exceptional customer service. This position requires a strong understanding of Unix systems, Ansible automation, and OpenShift containerization, as well as a commitment to proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.

Location: Montreal, Quebec
Work Type: Hybrid (3 times a week in office)

Responsibilities:
  • Proactive monitoring of customer IT infrastructure and services, identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact operations.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems related to Unix systems, Ansible deployments, and OpenShift environments.
  • Performing security updates and patching to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of customer data.
  • Managing user access and permissions, adhering to security best practices.
  • Implementing and maintaining automation scripts using Ansible for system administration tasks.
  • Working with the OpenShift platform for container orchestration and management.
  • Collaborating with other team members to provide seamless service delivery.
  • Communicating effectively with customers in both English and French, providing timely updates and explanations.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation (1 week in 3) to provide after-hours support.
  • Documenting all activities and maintaining accurate records of system configurations and changes.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of service delivery processes.
 

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken).
  • Proven experience in Unix system administration.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with Ansible automation.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift containerization platform.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.   
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.   
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
 

Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
