About This Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Systems Analyst to play a key role in driving our payments modernization initiatives. This individual will plan, manage, and lead the delivery of detailed system requirements and technical and functional specifications, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and frameworks. You will provide technical leadership and collaborate closely with ambitious business and technology partners, project teams, and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, communicate, manage, and implement detailed functional specifications. This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the evolution of our payment systems and directly impact the client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
· Focus on payment processing applications, encompassing areas like real-time payments, digital wallets, transaction management, fraud prevention, and integration with core banking systems.
· Provide strong analytical, problem-solving, technical, and project management skills to effectively gather requirements, identify alternatives, and design and deploy high-quality solutions.
· Partner with project stakeholders across business and technology teams, analyzing requirements to formulate business needs, translate them into application functionality, and effectively navigate trade-offs to achieve mutually acceptable solutions.
· Champion and recommend best practices for delivering scalable, high-quality payment solutions.
· Experience with agile methodologies and a commitment to iterative development.
· Drive operational excellence by managing project deliverables while balancing the business need for flexibility and appropriate localization.
· Plan and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to capture business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
· Create detailed requirements, use cases, workflow diagrams, implementation strategies, and diagrams for user stories.
· Contribute to project planning, scoping, and management.
· Assist in workflow development and implementation, including business rules, scripts, microservices, and integration with third-party applications.
· Participate in the creation of test plans, cases, and scripts as needed.
Skills:
· Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
· 5+ years of relevant experience in systems analysis, preferably within the financial services or payments industry.
· Experience with payment processing systems and related technologies.
· Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) and database technologies (e.g., SQL).
· Familiarity with BPMN, workflow engines (e.g., Camunda), logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk), and troubleshooting techniques.
· Strong understanding of system analysis processes and techniques, including system components, functionality, interfaces, workflows, data flows, and business rules.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently as a senior or lead systems analyst, and mentor or guide team members.
· Experience and comfort level acting as a subject matter expert and consultant.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
· A passion for innovation and a desire to drive positive change in the payments landscape.
